James 4:7
7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
Submission to anyone can be tough. I felt so deceived by so many people that I vowed never to depend on anyone else again for anything. I valued my independence highly and wasn’t about to give it up for anyone or anything. But the more my responsibilies grew, the more my stress levels grew. Things were becoming quite overwhelming. I felt a call to submit to God, but I fought it tooth and nail. It was only when I felt truly broken was I willing to listen. But, I’m so glad I did.
Submission to God truly will send the devil fleeing. Satan will come at you with everything he has at first, but once you’ve truly submitted and trust in God, he has no choice but to leave. God is in control and you will feel that and know it to be true.
Let God take control of your life. Give your fears to Him and have some rest.
