If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!
The love of a parent for a child is unconditional. Most parents want nothing but the best for their children and would lay their lives on the line to protect them. This is how the Father thinks of us. He wants nothing but the best for us. Jesus laid down his life for us on the cross. He took all of our sins upon Himself so that we could achieve salvation. Such a love knows no bounds. The love of an earthly parent for a child, as strong as it is in most cases, pales in comparison with the love that God has for us.
